"I find beauty in decay. I like to see nature conquering what man has left. I believe that old buildings have a soul, and when I photograph these places I try to capture a piece of that soul."

Whilst exploring this abandoned mill I found items left from the past, left on the floor were several bobbins off wool and cotton, as though one day the machines had been turned off the workers left and everything else stood still, along with the wool i found a rotting chair, it looked so desperate propped against a wall in the corner. Along with the wool I took it home with me. I wanted to give the chair a sense of life back, I cleaned it up removed the rotting seat and considered the ways I could transform it. I wanted to change it aesthetically whilst still referencing the mill, It was never going to be a functional chair. After contemplation I decided to use the wool from the mill to wrap the chair, therefore transforming it whilst using elements from the mill to do so.
